Instant School Survey Reports
Tell Them From Me (TTFM) reports are available online at any time to participating schools and districts, enabling staff to see immediately the areas where a school is improving, staying the same, or getting worse, as a school year progresses or year-over-year. Schools see only their own results.
Interactive Student Survey Charts display a school's or district's results for each of the measures derived from the student data, displayed beside national and "replica school" averages.
The charts are based on the running average of completed survey responses, and therefore are responsive to changes in school policy and practice.
The results for student outcomes were scaled in order to determine the percentage of students with average to above-average scores versus those with low scores. For example, the report for self esteem indicates the percentage of students with average to above average self esteem, while the report for anxiety indicates the percentage of students with problems associated with anxiety.
Measures of activities at home and school are measured in hours per day. The measures of classroom and school climate are rated on a scale that has a range from 0 to 10.
The results for each school and district are updated with each submission of a new survey.

One-Click Reports
We also offer "one-click" reports, displaying the school and district student survey results by measure. These are updated weekly, with comparisons to national results by grade and gender.
Student Voice Reports / Responses to Open Ended Questions
Schools have regular, online access to unedited student comments, displaying their responses to the survey's open-ended questions. These, too, will be anonymous, although schools can drill down by gender, grade-level, time period and quesion. We also offer a Word Cloud feature, which displays the most frequently used words in student responses at the click of a button.
Teacher Survey Results
The Tell Them From Me School Survey Report includes a summary of the teacher survey results. The school is the unit of analysis for analyzing teacher survey results. The results are scaled in two ways.
The first method is used to present school and "all-schools" results for each of the questions on the survey. The ratings for each question are assigned scores of 0 for strongly disagree or very inadequate, 1 for disagree or somewhat inadequate, and so on through to 4 for strongly agree or outstanding. The report provides the average score on the resulting 4-point scale for each question. This part of the report enables school staff to discern which particular aspects of the classroom and school processes are of greatest concern to teachers. Results for any question are presented only if at least five teachers in the school completed that survey item.
The overall results for each of the five constructs (or group of questions) are also aggregated to the school level. These are scaled on a 10-point scale that is convenient for comparing a school's results to national norms. The report provides the mean score on each of the five measures for the school and for all participating schools (national line). This part of the report provides an indication of what general areas, such as assessment practices or practices supporting vulnerable youth, might be the focus of school improvement efforts.
Drill Down Feature
The Tell Them From Me Drill Down feature enables school administrators to compare their school’s progress with national norms, and to break down results by gender, grade level and other factors of interest to the school or school district. Districts using student upload data can identify up to three other variables of interest, such as "academic/vocational program," or some classification based on special services certain children may be receiving. The variables must be categorical, that is, they must classify students into two or more categories. Continuous variables, such as student age, or variables with a large number of categories, such as home room, are not supported with the Drill Down feature as they could compromise confidentiality.
When viewing the Interactive Charts for the student data, the School or District Coordinator can request a report by drill-down category. For example, the coordinator can request a report by gender, and the system will automatically display the results for males and females. The Drill-Down feature also allows presentation of results for a 2-category breakdown, such as grade by gender.
The use of custom Drill Downs is recommended for schools or districts that want to monitor interventions that are targeted towards particular groups of students. For example, a school might implement a program to bolster the self esteem of vulnerable students, to increase school participation of aboriginal boys, or raise aspirations of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
Drill Downs can also be created by the school itself, using the Multiple Choice Question option.
